The 1st Annual Booth Lake Memorial Swim will take place on June 1st, 2024. The open water swim includes options of 2.5 and 5 kilometers. The 1st Annual Booth Lake Memorial Swim will take place on June 1st, 2024. The open water swim includes options of 2.5 and 5 kilometers. Start the summer off with an open water swim in the clear waters of Booth Lake. Booth Lake is a smaller, clean water lake (204 acres) within the beautiful Kettle Moraine region of Southeastern Wisconsin. Booth Lake is very well protected for the best swim conditions possible. Water temperatures expected to be between 70-75 degrees. Wetsuits and open water swim buoys are preferred and encouraged in all Divisions.
This swim coincides with "Memorial Day" celebrations. We ask each swimmer completing the Booth Lake Memorial Swim to honor or remember that "special person" for Memorial Day. During the registration process, you are asked to dedicate your swim in "Memory of Anyone of your choice". Your finishing award will be a military dog tag with the name of the individual you are swimming to honor.
Swim course: The swim course is a 2.5 km lap around Booth lake. Therefore, the 2.5 km race is one lap and the 5.0 km race is two laps. The 5.0 km race starts at 8 am and has a two-hour and 15 minute cut off time. The 2.5 km Race starts at 8:30 am and has a one-hour and 45 minute cut off time. One nutrition aid station will be on co

The 5.0 km race starts at 8 am and has a two-hour and 15 minute cut off time. The 2.5 km Race starts at 8:30 am and has a one-hour and 45 minute cut off time. One nutrition aid station will be on course near the start of the second lap for the 5 km swim. Swim is supported with life guards and kayakers, swimmers are not required to provide their own personal support.
